Course Requirements, Application, Introduction & Placement Test

International students may apply for Swedish language training at the Department of Scandinavian Languages. The requirement is that you are admitted to a study or research programme at Stockholm University, as well as researchers or holders of scholarships, admitted directly by a department.

Course Requirements and Application

You have to be admitted through an exchange programme or an equivalent agreement.

You will get information through the co-ordinator with a link to an application form for Swedish courses. 

It is also possible to apply for Swedish courses before the semester starts.

 

Introduction

General information is presented during the Orientation Programme for exchange and master students, starting at the beginning of the semester.

All courses will start at the beginning of September or February, respectively.

 

Placement test

A placement test is arranged for students with some knowledge of Swedish. Students are requested to sign up for the placement test in order to be placed in study groups on an appropriate level.

The result of the placement test together with time for registration will be announced on the notice board, D Building entrance, 4th floor.
